Yes, there will be a pre-opening party before the festival. We will all meet on Thursday evening, March 21st, 2024 at the Örlikon brewery. There will be a small tap takeover from Cloudwater and of course the delicious beers from the Örlikon brewery. There is also live music and the food includes the fantastic oysters from Shuck'n'Roll with the best wild oysters from the Netherlands.

See you on Thursday, where we will officially kick off the festival.

Cheers!

Last minute changes

We have some changes to announce in the lineup. Do you health reasons our friends from Pilgrim needed to cancel their participation and also Ammonite from France cancelled just now because of schedule issues but there is also good news.

While those breweries above will not be present we are happy to welcome OUTER RANGE to the festival line-up.

Whiplash Cancelling

Unfortunately we received some bad news today.

Whiplash are canceling all of their 2024 event participation for various reasons. Unfortunately we have to celebrate without the wonderful brewery from Ireland.

We thank you for your understanding. Adequate replacement is already being sought.

WELCOME TO THE ZURICH BEER FESTIVAL

There are many events invloving beer so whats special about the Zurich Beer Festival?

Switzerland has now more breweries than any other country per capita but still the most famous beer style is Lager. That's what you get at every restaurant or pub so even though we have many small craft breweries they are still struggling to get their name out and find their clients.

Our goal is to promote all different styles of beer and leave it to the vistor to judge what style you prefer. There is no specific beer taste and we don't want to patronise our visitors.

At the Zurich Beer Festival every visitor gets a special beer tasting glass that one can keep as included in the sales price. At every beer stand you only get 10cl of beer. This allows to taste many different beers without the goal of getting drunk. In other words. Its about taste and quality and not about quantity. There is always national and international breweries present at the festival.

There are usually workshops during the entire festival exploring the fascinating field of the beer production. From malt to hops to skills. We usually have workshops for absolute beer-ginners and also for the experienced homebrewer.

We are ProBier and we demand and foster beer diversity.
